# Buy Backs

**On the roadmap — not yet live.** Buy-backs are planned for Trench Express but are **currently disabled**. The mechanics below describe the intended feature and are subject to change before launch.

A portion of the platform's accumulated trading fees will be earmarked for **buy-and-burn** operations: using protocol proceeds to buy back selected tokens on the open market and send them to a burn address, permanently removing them from circulation.

### Why Are We Doing This?

**Deflationary Power**\
Burning tokens permanently removes them from circulation, driving scarcity and long-term value for holders. Less supply = more rarity.

**Community Thrills**\
Turning every fee milestone into a burn event keeps the community engaged and gives every trading milestone a payoff to look forward to.

**Ecosystem Fuel**\
Fees aren't just burned — they're reinvested into the market. This creates a virtuous cycle that supports the broader ecosystem.

**Platform Prestige**\
A visible, on-chain buy-and-burn programme signals confidence and ambition, building trust and attracting top projects to the launchpad.
